A Great Church in Collinsville IL

The Crossings Church Collinsville was planted in Collinsville, IL in 2017 after a group of about 30 friends moved over from just across the river to start a new church in this area.

As far as churches go, The Crossings is special in a number of ways.

1) The Crossings is a diverse church where everyone is welcomed.
The Crossings is a racially, socially, and economically diverse church. There are people from lots of different backgrounds and socio-economic classes represented in our church. Regardless of your race or background you can find a place to fit in.

2) Lots of people are pretty new Christians or are just investigating faith.
One of the things you might notice right away that a large percentage of the people at The Crossings are relatively new to the Christian faith or they're simply investigating to see what all the fuss is about. Many of our church members did not grow up with much of a background going to church or learning the Bible. If you're just learning or checking things out, no worries.

3) Our members are all ages and there are lots of young people.
The Crossings has very active college, high school, junior high, and kids ministries. Between weekly Cross Chats, trips, summer camps, fun events, and game nights, there is constantly stuff going on for students from SIUe, teens, or youth. Additionally, we have active adult ministries as well - we have something for people of all ages. Your entire family has a place at The Crossings.

4) We are very familiar with life's struggles.
A lot of our regulars including our church leaders have greatly struggled in life due to sexual abuse, physical abuse, unhealthy family situations, divorce, addictions, and struggles with various other life issues.

5) The Crossings is full of people who care, and are here to help you connect to God.
A core belief at The Crossings is that a relationship with Jesus Christ is the ultimate answer to living the best life possible. If you hear many of our members tell their stories, it's often pain that leads to a realization of a need to change. We believe the purpose of life is wrapped up in a relationship with God - simply trying to live life the way He tells us to live it.

There's a saying we have at The Crossings:

God loves you just the way you are ... but He loves you too much to leave you the way you are.

We strongly believe those words are true - that faith in Jesus is a journey - and that we're here to join you on that journey.
